4.9.10

April 9, 2010

You gathered up the courage,
and I scrunched up mine,
and together,
we made the best of our luck.

You smiled,
I started,
You talked,
I retorted,
You waved,
I acknowledged

But what’s next,
why are we stuck here,
stuck here on this same level,
Our path is much longer than this.

But maybe you’re taking it slow,
And enjoying, but keeping your expectancy low
And I don’t blame you, for I might just be doing the same

But we must get this show on the road,
and I have faith we will move farther down this winding road,
If you only find the courage,
and I’ll oblige,
and we’ll repent,
as we gallant forth.

  1. Wonderfully done!

  2. a well delivered poem; the path to success is sinuous and requires mettle and motivation.
