3.26.10

March 26, 2010

You screwed up,
and I was done,
done with you.

You asked for forgiveness,
and like the Church,
I forgave you
and granted you
a second chance.

But you screwed up,
I was doing you a favor,
and you betrayed my trust,
you went lower than low,
you went to the snake’s level.

You’re gone,
you’re nothing to me,
you were not my friend,
but now,
you’re the closest thing
I have to an enemy.

Get your own ideas,
Get your own friends.

And please,
“Be yourself,
because everybody else is taken.”

  1. Powerful poem. My favorite lines are the last ones
    And please,
    “Be yourself,
    because everybody else is taken.”

If we all thought alike, look alike, like the same things, acted alike, this would be a boring world to live in. God knitted each of us in our mother’s womb. He make each of us to be special in our own way so being yourself is cool.

    • Very true, and thank you, those are my favorite lines as well 🙂

  2. The last line is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. So true. I’m dealing with similar issues with friends, and I hope you find a way to work things out!
